ANTIQUE LAMPS – SPIDER FITTERS AND HARPS
Antique lamps have attachment systems that may not always correspond with those of today, thus the difficulty of finding a lampshade for a harp mounted lamp of the past. A new spider fitter allows the creation of a custom-made lampshade and your lamp finds a new life. Feel free to contact Nathalie Hannon for advice.

LAMPSHADES REFURBISHED FOR ANTIQUE LAMPS
Reusing the original wire fitter frame allows the creation of a new lampshade for your lamp.

HARDBACK LAMPSHADES
A hardback lampshade is made by laminating fabric on a plastic material called polystyrene. The polystyrene used for the inner liner is designed to withstand heat and to diffuse light uniformly.
All lampshades made by Nathalie Hannon are hardback, and the fabric edges are rolled around the fitters to maintain them in place.

SOFTBACK LAMPSHADES
A softback lampshade is made exclusively out of fabric either stretched or pleated. The fabric is stretched on the outside of the full wire frame as well as the inner lining.
A braid, trim, fringe, bias or cord is applied as a finishing.
